When you just want to get married without the fuss! There are so many reasons why elopement may be for you. A wedding is listed as one of the most stressful events a person can plan and go through with. It is an event that you are supposed to know what to do, without every planning such a big occasion ever in your life. Some couples are left so spent, they cannot enjoy or appreciate what they have just been through. You can also add your own vows, exchange rings and have some music playing if you like. All the paper work and legal bits are taken care of and you will receive your commemorative marriage certificate, presented to you on your wedding day. When you elope, you can still have a few family or friends to witness your marriage (up to 10), in fact you will need 2 witnesses over the age of 18 years to witness your ceremony. (Witnesses can be provided at an extra cost if required) What is included: Assistance in applying for your Official Marriage Certificate following your ceremony Travel to and from your ceremony venue and other meetings (within a 50km radius) Signing Table and two chairs if needed Can assist in playing music for the ceremony Ok, so you and your fiancé have made the decision to Elope, or run away and get married, what now? Here are some simple steps that you can do to make the experience your way. 1. Decide on your location to tie the knot - pick a favourite park, beach or even your own home. 2. Choose a date 3. Book a celebrant (you need to give at least 1 months’ notice) 4. Prepare 2 witnesses (or ask your celebrant to provide 2, in Australia they need to be 18 years or older) 5. Write your own vows if you choose to 6. Pop on your favourite outfit and get yourself hitched!
